What to Expect in the Early Stages

Starting kindy for the first time or moving to a new centre can be a daunting experience for children and families alike. Everyone is unsure of the way the centre operates, the educators and how their child will cope for a full day.

We recommended that new families start with shorter hours for their child such as 9-4pm so your child can establish positive secondary attachments. From here educators will guide families for when to extend hours of care, but like us, you will know when.

Parents are encouraged to keep in contact with the centre throughout the day by phone.
